What is a chatbot?
Software that holds a text or voice conversation. Older chatbots follow scripted paths; AI chatbots generate their replies with a language model.
Example
A dental clinic’s booking bot offers three fixed options. An AI assistant can also answer open questions, such as what to do before a cleaning.
