Large language model
Also called LLM
What is a large language model?
An AI model trained on large amounts of text to predict the next word, which lets it answer questions, draft text and follow instructions.
How it works
The model breaks text into tokens, then writes its reply one token at a time, choosing each based on patterns learned in training and on everything already in the conversation.
Example
Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini are chat apps built on large language models.
