Model Context Protocol
Also called MCP
What is the Model Context Protocol?
An open standard, introduced by Anthropic in 2024, for connecting AI tools to other apps and data sources. A service builds one MCP server and any compatible AI tool can use it.
Example
Because a task-management app offers an MCP server, the same connection works in several AI tools without separate integrations.
